While walking around the many parts sellers at the Official Citroën 100-year anniversary last month, I was searching for a replacement mirror glass. Sadly, all I could find were either reproductions or complete NOS sets that were really expensive. I went home without a mirror in the bag…

After a tip from my knowledgable friend Tim, I decided to warm up the plastic tabs underneath the mirror case with a hairdryer, and voilá the case opened unharmed.

Turned out both the glass and the mirror were just in need of a serious cleaning, so now my rearview mirror is restored to its original shining glory!
